Life back in Sydney

The grim reality of life hit me upon my return to Sydney. While not quite penniless and destitute, I wasn't far off, and therefore in dire need of a job. I should point out that I was fortunately still living with Chris and Jesse, so at least accomodation was sorted.

Still restless, I yearned for that perfect job that I could really sink my teeth into and that would also pay me well.

As it so happened, one of the girls we met on Fraser Island proved to be a good contact in this regard. Natasha, (Tash), had worked for a company in Sydney called ComuSell selling telephone/cable line connections for Optus, which is the second largest telecoms company in Australia after Telstra. She gave me their details, and when I returned to Sydney, I got an interview and (subsequently) a job there.

The first week was spent training, during which we learned about the product we were going to be selling, and the second week we hit the field. It seemed at last that I had found a vocation in Sydney that, at least for a few months, would suit me.

In total, I spent just under three months there and made many good friends The Crew.

Toward the end of March, I grew restless again and decided that it was time to continue my travels in Australia. After all, that is what I had gone there for.
