Life in Canberra

24 March - 31 March 2000

Photos - Without the Babble!

So on March 24th, I bought a one way ticket to Perth, with the first stop being Canberra. I was met in Canberra by the lovely Jane Fennessy (Paul's younger sister), who whisked me off to her house which she shared with her friend Helen.

Jane works for a very prominent senator (can't disclose name!), and as she was working, I had to entertain myself at least for the first day. I did this by going straight downtown to the Old Parliament House and looking around. As I recall, the weather was absolutely divine, and the photos you will see in a short while will reveal this.

On my second day I was no longer left to my own devices as Jane had a friend from Melbourne (Clare) come to visit. Clare had a car, which was a bit of a bonus, so that day and the rest of the week was spent exploring Canberra and her surrounds in the comfort of a car.

I had a wonderful time in Canberra (mainly due to the excellent company) and I would like to formally say a

Big Thank You!
to both Jane and Clare - Jane for her most kind hospitality in having me to stay in her house and introducing me to all her friends, and Clare for showing me around Canberra and driving me to Melbourne.

Back to Work Photos Ahh Europe, well..
